Alexander Pappas 87 of Tinley Park passed away Tuesday morning June 4th in Joliet peacefully with family at his side. Beloved husband of Carol Lee nee Bissias for over 58 years. Loving father of Andrew (Antje), James (Deborah), and Theodore (Helen). Dear pappou of Annika, Alexis, Stephanie (Michael) Zoellner, Alexander, John, and Zacharias. Devoted son of the late Andrew and Nickolitsa Papavasilopoulos. Dear brother of George and Elaine. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday 3:00 to 9:00 PM with the Trisagion Service at 6:30 at The Maher Funeral Home 17101 71st Ave (1 Blk East of Harlem on 171st St) Tinley Park Illinois 60477. Friends and family asked to meet directly, 10:15 AM Friday morning at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church 12307 S. Ridgeland Ave, Palos Heights Il 60463.  Interment Bethania Cemetery of Justice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox.
