Mr. Antonio Villarreal, 32 (suddenly), Sgt. U.S. Army National Guard, Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, Kabul, Afghanistan. Late of Oswego, formerly of Chicago Heights. Beloved son of Jose' and Rachel (nee Corona) Villarreal. Cherished partner of Mirta. Devoted father of Antonio and Evelyn. Loving brother of Krystle (Sesar) Salvador, Ashley, Jose' Jr. and Priscilla. Dearest grandson of the late Angel Corona and Bernadino (Enedina) Villarreal. Dearest great-grandson of Baltazar (Josepha) Garcia. Fond uncle, friend and comrade to many civilians and soldiers alike. Antonio was very proud to serve in the military and his first tour of duty was in combat-ridden and dangerous Kabul, Afghanistan. Aside from his bravery, he was an I.T. professional and loved building computers, and was often engrossed in thick technical textbooks and was able to decipher them as most people read a magazine. He laughed hard at the cartoon Rick and Morty, enjoyed Pokemon and Yugioh. He was fond of growing garlic, had a taste for jelly beans and candy corn, he loved bowling and had a true passion for Aurelio's Pizza (# 22, Old Oven from the Homewood location). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Antonio's name to the Wounded Warrior Project. Visitation Wednesday, July14th, 3-8pm. Chapel Service 7pm, Pastor Jeffrey Dahlton officiating. Graveside Funeral Service Thursday, 11:30am at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors afforded. Procession attendees to meet at the funeral home at 9:45 for a 10:15 departure.
