Brian Bruggeman

Brian Bruggeman, Age 56, Resident of Deborah House, Crete, IL. Passed away October 27, 2023, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved son of Kenneth and Carol nee Ziegler. Loving brother of Steven (Denise), Andrew (Michelle), Christopher (Dee) and Jay (Abby). Fond uncle of many and great uncle of three. Special nephew and dear cousin of Sheila (Gary) VanHeest and Paul (Laurie) Bruggeman. Brian was a resident of New Star, Chicago Heights for over 39 years and leaves behind his friends and housemates; Brian, John, Wesley, Jeffrey and Fodies and a loving, caring and devoted staff. He will be missed. Brian was also a Special Olympian and an avid sports fan. Memorials to New Star would be appreciated, New Star .  

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 31st at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 6200 W 167th St. Tinley Park, IL 60477 from 10am until Celebration of Life Service at 11am. A memorial luncheon will be held immediately following at the church.

The family requests to honor Brian, if you’re coming to the service, that you please wear a shirt or hat of a sports team of your choice.
