December 21, 2020 11:40 AMI've known Carol or Ma as I called her for around 50 years. Her, Doug and our families lived together in Texas. We're so sorry that we haven't kept in touch since Christopher died, and couldn't make it to the funeral, but Carol will always be in our hearts. Tiny and Nanette.

December 20, 2020 8:48 AMWhen Carol learned to stand she pulled me to my feet. When she began to walk, she insisted I walk too, so that I could go where she went, see what she saw, learn what she knew and share what she had.
From there, she keept on teaching, sometimes in words, always by example -- Personal integrity, responsibility to family, common courtesy, kindness, empathy, love and joy -- these are only parts of the best parts of her.
To her precious children, grands and greats: I hope it can bring a smile to know that she didn't become wise, she was born that way, a wise baby, and that's in your blood. She was baby when she taught me to stand up, move forward, look around you, learn, and share.
