Cherished grandfather of Adam Phillips,Cali (Curtis) Wicks, Charlie (Cheryl) Lonergan, Brittany Lonergan, Ashley (James) York, Courtney Hughes, Jenna Payne, Rachel, Joshua and Sarah Sacks,Hailey Radavich and dear great grandfather of 12.
Devoted brother to John (Marcia ) Sears, Robert (Kathy) Sears, Thomas (Hope) Sears, Michael (Deborah) Sears, Mary Las and Edward Sears.
Dear Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Charlie spent his entire 32 year career working for the Village of Tinley Park, starting as a mechanic for the Public Works Department, and worked his way up to become the Director of Public Works. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Tinley Park. Charlie was passionate about cars, loving to build them, fix them, and even race them. He was a huge fan of both NASCAR and the Chicago Bears. Charlie was a lover of all animals, but especially parrots. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation to Birds of Paradise Sanctuary and Rescue at www.BirdsOfParadise.org.
In accordance with the state of Illinois Public Health Guidelines, visitors will only be admitted in and out privileges as not to exceed the safe number to ensure safe social distancing practices. The Sears family would like thank you for your understanding and greatly appreciate your prayers and gestures of sympathy during this most difficult time. Most importantly they wish for you and your loved ones to be safe.
