Earlene Rollins, 93, passed away, peacefully, in the comfort of her own home, February 18, 2022. Beloved daughter of James Polk and Callie (Blagburn) Farmer. Loving sister of James, Joe, Flossie and Ray Farmer and Mae and Jearlene Coleman. Devoted mother to Kenny, Joe Ray, and Doris Kadas. Beloved grandmother to Kim Peters, Jennifer Modscheidler, Keith Kadas, Patti McIntyre, Mark Sward Rauch, Jay, Jack, Cameron, and Corey Rollins. Beloved great-grandmother of Steven and Amber Peters, Kyle and Samantha Modscheidler, Mac, Devan and Connor McIntyre.
Earlene was born and raised in Big Sandy, Tennesse. She later moved to Chicago, Bolingbrook, and lastly to Downers Grove where she spent the rest of her long life living with her youngest son Kenny and Kenny's beautiful family. Earlene was a machine operator at a factory as well as a Quality Control Inspector. On the side Earlene was an exceptional seamstress who could handle just about anything that was thrown her way. Earlene was not only an exceptional seamstress but, she loved to crochet and make quilts. Following, these loves/hobbies she enjoyed planting flowers and taking care of the yard.
The family of Ms. Earlene Rollins will be celebrating her life at Maher Funeral Home in Tinley Park Illinois, February 23, 2022, from 3:00pm - 8:00pm. Pastor Jamie Deuser, Pastor of the Church at Southland as well as the Pastor and friend of Kenny and his family, will be doing the prayer service at 7:00pm.
Ms. Earlene Rollins will be laid to rest at McRae's Chapel Cemetery in Big Sandy, Tennesse.
