A lover of boats, fishing, and above all else family, George Liddle Sr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on April 6th. He leaves behind wife of 64 years June, son George Jr. (partner, Janet), daughter Sandra, granddaughter Nicole (husband, Steve) and grandson Justin (mother, Linda) who will remember him as the center of the family and a steadfast source of love. While already dearly missed, his family finds comfort knowing he achieved everything he wanted in life, including founding Liddle’s Auto and Marine Repair, which he successfully ran for over 35 years. A well-known man, the only thing more plentiful than the fish he caught, were the countless friends he made throughout his 85 years. It was impossible for him to leave the house without running into someone he knew, or spotting a classic car he could reminisce about owning. Whether working at the shop, hanging in the garage, winning a fishing tournament, or spending time with family, he was always ready to share his infamous wit, limitless practical knowledge, and colorful sense of humor with everyone he met (whether they asked for it or not!) Wherever George went, “Big G” was in the house, and that’s where everyone else wanted to be. A man who was always willing to lend a hand, a lure, or a wrench, George Liddle Sr. left a big impression on the lives he touched and will be missed by so many. Private services were conducted April 10th, 2021, with plans to hold a celebration of life this summer.
