James Cuadrado 48, late of Oak Forest. Veteran U.S. Army. Beloved husband, father, and abuelo, was called from labor and laid down his working tools on March 6, 2023 after a 20+ year battle with illness. James was born on November 11, 1974 in Chicago, IL to Sixto and Carmen “Doris” Cuadrado. He graduated in 1992 from George Washington High School in Chicago, IL where he met his wife, LeAnna. He was a football player; she was on the poms squad. He enlisted in the Illinois Army National Guard right out of HS, and then went on to Illinois State University. The couple returned to Chicago in 1996 and married in 1997. They started their family in 1999 and were overjoyed that God gave them James, Jr. and Natalie two years later. He loved his family more than anything else. James was the definition of a people-person. He loved to talk politics, religion, and sports. He loved to fish, golf, and hunt. He loved music, dancing and movies and could quote lines from every single one of his favorites. He did Michael Jackson and Elvis impressions and loved to sing. James brought the Construction Materials Testing Industry to IUOE Local 150. He went on to become a business agent, then moved to the ASIP Training Site. There, he helped put together a training program and curriculum. James was raised to Master Mason at Pleiades Masonic Lodge #478 on August 23, 2012. In lieu of flowers, your gift to the Cuadrado Family would be humbly appreciated. Visitation Sunday, March 12, 3-8pm. Masonic service during visitation (time to be announced). Interment Monday, 9:00am from the funeral home processing to Oakland Memory Lanes Cemetery, Dolton for an 11:00 graveside service.
