JoAnne (Rotroff) Steagerman

Eileen JoAnne Steagerman, (nee Rotroff), passed away on June 22, 2023, at the age of 81 in Orland Park, Illinois.  Eileen was born on April 4, 1942, in Oak Lawn, Illinois to Jack and Eileen Rotroff.  She was a hard-working, driven career woman and mother of eight children.  Eileen took great pride in her kids, along with her nieces and nephews.  She was a beloved sister to Michael Rotroff (Claudia), Dennis Rotroff, and Brian Rotroff (Katy). 

Eileen graduated from Mr. Assisi Academy and went on to become a Supervisor of Quality Control at Andrew Corporation for 35 years.  She was a devout member of St. Michael Church. 

In her free time, Eileen enjoyed drawing, watching movies, visiting the lights in Downtown Chicago, and spending time with her husband Lee and family at their summer home in Michigan.  She also loved art, play, and musicals. 

Eileen is survived by her daughter Cindy (John) Mitchell, sons Patrick Scott and Michael Steagerman, daughter Eileen (William) VanDenHandel, cherished grandchildren Jennifer (Brian), Jill, Samantha, Tyler, McKayla, and Dylan, and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Steagerman, sons James and Daniel Steagerman, daughter Nancy Horn, granddaughter Katie Mitchell, sister Jeanne Strupeck, sister Marianne Meister, brother Jack Rotroff.

A visitation will be held at Maher Funeral Home, 17101 S. 71st Ave., Tinley Park, Illinois 60477, on Tuesday, June 27th, from 9:00am to 12:00pm with a chapel prayer service at 11:00am by Fr. Villalobos from St. Michael Parish.  Interment Holy Sepulchre.
