Kathleen "Kathy" Paul was unexpectedly called to our Lord with her father Simon-André “Tommy” Auguste on the 31st of October 2021 in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 49.
Kathleen is survived by her mother, Marjory Auguste (née David), her sister, Stephanie Paul; nephew Jalen André Patton and her dog, Magoo.
Kathleen was born to Marjory Auguste on November 16, 1971 at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. She attended Saint Bride’s grammar school, graduated from Robert A. Black Elementary School and Rich Central High School. While in college she studied nursing, but quickly discovered her interests lied elsewhere. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Lewis University in 1998.
Kathy worked for Wolters Kluwer for more than 16 years where she served as an accomplished senior sales representative. The federal government was her most prominent client. Due to her calm and patient demeanor, she was able to train and assist new sales team members with their onboarding to the company. She recently accepted the challenge of selling online subscriptions to legal firms. During her tenure with Wolters Kluwer, Kathy was named salesperson of the year several times.
Kathy was an altruistic soul with a heart of gold. Her generosity and big heart led her to see the good in people. She had a sarcastic sense of humor and was well-known for her infamous one-liners that kept everyone laughing. She also had a way of keeping you in line while bringing out the best in you at the same time. She was devoted to her mother, Marjory, her father, “Tommy,” and sister, Stephanie, and had an exceptionally strong bond with her nephew, Jalen André, who affectionately called her “Titi.” She doted on her fur-baby, Magoo, whom she treated like a person.
Kathy leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues. She will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace with her father, Simon-André “Tommy.”
