Leticia Montoya-Guerrero, age 58, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 25, 2024. Leticia was born February 18, 1966 to the late Elvira Montoya and the late Lorenzo Castro in the city of Harvey, IL.
Leticia is survived by her loving husband Matthew Guerrero, with whom she shared over 40 years of her life with; 26 of those years married, her children Lydia (Nicholas) Oyervides, Jacob (Claudia) Guerrero, Michael Guerrero, Jonathan Guerrero, Alexis (Luis) Rivera, Isaiah Guerrero, the late Emmanuel Guerrero, and the late Simon Guerrero; grandchildren Alejandra Oyervides, Noah Guerrero, Nikolas Oyervides, Genesis Guerrero, Natasha Guerrero, Kataleya Guerrero, Zion Guerrero and Melania Guerrero.
Leticia is also survived by her siblings Gabe (Dineen) Montoya, Alfredo Montoya, Richard (Donna) Montoya, Jesse (Cherie) Montoya, Gilbert Montoya, Diane (Joseph) Poncer, the late Josephine Bocanegra, the late Benito “Benny” Montoya and the late Jane (Arturo) Castellano. Most loved aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Leticia will be remembered for her love of life, her love for her family, her contagious laugh, and her outgoing personality. She will be missed and forever loved by her friends and family.
Visitation: Friday March 29, 2024, from 3:00pm - 8:00pm, with a prayer service officiated by Pastor Jamie Deuser of the Church at Southland at 6:30pm. Funeral Saturday, March 30, 2024. Family and friends are asked to meet at Maher Funeral Home at 10:00am for 10:15am prayers. Interment to St. Benedict Cemetery.
