Loretta H. Engleman Obituary

Loretta H. Engleman (nee Kettle), 68 of Channahon/Morris, IL passed away Wednesday Oct. 14th at AMITA St. Joseph Health Center, Joliet. She was born June 18, 1952 in Fort Hood, Texas to Ted (The Colonel) & Marilyn Kettle. 

Surviving is her loving companion, Richard Klingen of Channahon, her daughters, Jennifer Shroba, Amanda Hritz, Emily Walker, & Jessica Whalen. She was blessed with grandchildren Jacob and Shelby Shroba, Elizabeth Hritz and Teddy Zamecnik, Arianna, Danielle, Whitney & Daniel J.Walker, III & Joshua and Jillian Whalen. Sister, Louise Sargeontand several nieces and nephews all in Ohio. She also leaves behind 4 beautiful kitties, her precious fur babies. Preceding Loretta in death were her parents, Grandson, Daniel J. Walker,IIand son-in-law, Daniel Shroba, Jr.

Loretta graduated from Whitmer High School, Toledo, Ohio with the class of 1970. She was a long-time Bus Driver for several school districts most recently with Minooka District 201. She loved driving bus and seeing her “kids” every day. 

Loretta was a happy, joyful person who lit up a room when she walked in. She had an infectious laugh that couldn’t be mistaken when you heard it, you knew it was Loretta. She loved the Lord and was always willing to share her love of the Lord with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by so many.

Per Loretta’s wishes cremation rights were accorded. A private family celebration of Loretta’s life will be held at a future date. The family would like to thank all the Dr.’s and Nurses in the ICU 3W who cared for Loretta in her final days, she was treated with care and compassion and we are truly grateful.
