Mr. Ferdinand "Fred" Ostrowski

Ferdinand "Fred" Ostrowski, RPh, 83, of Tinley Park, went peacefully to his Heavenly Father on July 3, 2023.  Fred was the devoted and watchful brother to Elizabeth "Betty" (the late Paul) Obarski and the late Caroline (the late Gerald) Marks.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Edward and his sister Caroline, who passed away March 26, 2023.  Fred graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1964.  His retail pharmacy experience began at Gwizdalski Pharmacy, 8261 S. Brandon Ave. Chicago, and ended in retirement in 2006 after completing 25 years of service to the West Side VA in their outpatient pharmacy.  Fred was also the cherished uncle of Suzanne (Ronald) Hield and Dr. Timothy Obarski, as well as the loving "Great Uncle Freddy" to Melissa (Jeffrey) Strong, Tiffany (Tommy) Kotek, Scott (Stacey) Hield, Corinne and Kevin (Jennifer) Obarski.  Fred was proud of his youngest extended family that included his "grand" nieces and nephews Madison, Paul and Brooklyn Hield, Jordan Strong and Olivia Brain.  Please join the family during visitation at the Maher Funeral Home, 17101 S. 71st Ave. Tinley Park on Friday, July 14th, from 3-8pm.  Funeral Saturday, 9:15 prayers at the funeral home processing to St. George Catholic Church 6707 W. 175th St., Tinley Park for a 10:00am Mass.  Interment Holy Cross, Calumet City.  Memorials in Fred's name to the Arthritis Foundation appreciated.
