Joseph S. Rotolo, 89, Veteran U.S. Army Korean Conflict (Bronze Star) late of Tinley Park, formerly of Chicago. Beloved son of his late parents, Raymond and Margaret (nee Parello). Cherished husband of Ruby Jewel (nee Andrews). Devoted father of; Debbie (Tom) Schergen, Marie Regan and Carol Rotolo.Loving brother of; the late Samuel, late Raymond, late Alphonso, late Marie (Rich) Jarema and Albert (Dolores). Dearest grandfather of; Theresa (Steve) Franckowiak, Thomas (Kelly) Schergen, Russell (Jennifer) Regan, Shannon (Matt) Boyle, Daniel Sheehan, Adrienne (Sergio) Pinto, Danielle (Keith) Krull, Joseph Schergen and Rena (David) Stanton.Great-grandfather of 16. Fond uncle and friend to many. Joseph was a devoted family man who loved the Cubs, his scratch-off lottery tickets, the atmosphere of Las Vegas but most importantly, his wife and family. He was a gentle soul with a witty sense of humor and was known for his kindness. Visitation Monday, May 23, 3-8pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday, St. George Catholic Church, Tinley Park 10:00am, Fr. Paul Novak officiating. Interment at a later date, Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Il. with full military honors afforded. Memorials to the V.F.W. National Home For Children appreciated.
