Raymond Skarzynski
Of Tinley Park
Raymond Joseph Skarzynski 77, of Tinley Park was born March 5, 1943 in Chicago to Walter and Jean (nee Traczyk) Skarzynski and passed away Tuesday December 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ray has been a resident of Tinley Park for 50 years. He was retired from Navistar International (formerly International Harvester) after 40 years of dedicated service. After Navistar, he went on to work for Mitsubishi Motors for three more years. Following retirement, and in keeping with his strong work ethic, Ray worked part time as a limousine driver. Ray was a member of the Tinley Park Jaycees from 1971-1975 and was a drummer for the Polka Band "The Chevelles" from 1961-1988. He loved watching and playing golf, trips to the casinos (sometimes lucky, sometimes not), watching sports and most of all, spending time with his grandkids. His favorite sports teams were the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
He is survived by his wife Arlene (nee Carpino), his children Steve (Jennifer) Skarzynski, Jim (Carleen) Skarzynski, Tina Skarzynski, his five grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Mark, Andrew, and Addysen, his sister-in-law Pat, nieces, and nephew.
