Roger Louis Carpenter
Roger Louis Carpenter, 70, of Tinley Park, IL, was born May 12, 1950, in Chicago to Robert and Helen (nèe Hodovanec) Carpenter of Evergreen Park, IL. He died December 24, 2020, after a valiant battle with ALS. Married for 47 years to Kathleen (nèe Young) Carpenter and loving father of Jill Carpenter, Lindsay Carpenter and Jessica (Aaron) Olson. Brother to Karen (Don) Felch. Brother-in-law to Ken (Sandy) Young and the late Dave (Judi) Young. Uncle to many.
Roger worked 35 years in the banking industry but found his real niche working for Ace Hardware. He enjoyed helping people and solving the toughest handyman problems. Roger was an avid sports fan, loving his Cubs, Huskies, Bears and occasionally the White Sox. He enjoyed bowling with his Evergreen Park crew, fixing up his daughters’ houses, making people laugh and being his kids’ biggest fan.
The family would like to thank all of Roger’s caregivers, family, friends and neighbors who went out of their way to help during this difficult time.
