Theresa Ann Hennigan “Pat” (nee Wiltgen) 92 of Lockport and formerly of Hickory Hills and Chicago, passed away Friday, July 30th in the comfort of her home. Beloved wife of the late Francis John for 54 years. Devoted mother of Eileen (Thomas) Roe, Kevin (Gayle) Hennigan, Doreen Hennigan, Kathleen (Paul) Koch, Michael (Linda) Hennigan, James (Juanita) Hennigan, Kelly (Matthew) Zajac, and the late John (Susan) Hennigan. Proud Grandmother of Jennifer (Mike) Nelson, Heather (Adam) Kwasneski, Melissa (Sam) Anderson, Matt Roe, Kevin (Danielle) Roe, Amy (Jeff) Kelly, Bill (Jessica) Hennigan, Lauren (Terrence Zubieta) Hennigan, Allyson (Patrick) Manion, Daniel (Allison) Koch, Jason (Colleen) Koch, Sean (Jennifer) Koch, Brittany Hennigan, Michael Hennigan, Brian Hennigan, Kayley (Justin) Wodarski, Megan (Connor Fahey) Zajac, Matthew Zajac, and Macy Zajac. Dearest great grandmother of 25.
Loving daughter of the late Joseph and Marion Wiltgen. Dear sister of Phyllis (the late John) Dvoracek, the late MaryAnn (the late Cliff) Holsten, the late Fred (Ann) Wiltgen, and the late Vincent (the late LaVonne) Wiltgen. Dear Sister-in-law of the late Martin (the late Mary) Hennigan, the late James (the late Judy) Hennigan, the late Anna Mae (the late William) Corley, and the late Patsy Hennigan. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Pat was one of five children raised in Chicago by Joseph and Marion Wiltgen.
She showed her amazing strength early on, being born during the great depression and suffering rheumatic fever as a child. Her love for dancing at Viking Hall led her to her lifelong dance partner, Fran Hennigan. Pat and Fran married in 1951 and soon gave up their weekends dancing to raise eight children. As a true homemaker, Pat’s sewing skills, baking, and the meticulous homes she kept will not be forgotten. Later in life, Pat and Fran spent time traveling with friends and enjoying their second home in Fountain Hills, Arizona. These were truly her golden years as she always had a song in her voice when calling back home. She was a woman of great faith who started and ended each day in prayer. Pat was blessed to see 19 grandchildren grow into adulthood and hold 25 great grandchildren in her arms. But we are the lucky ones to have had her in our lives for so long.
