In honor of Dolores!

I was thinking about my ol' pal and colleague Dolores today... and sadly I see that she has passed. (The 'magic' of the Internet, allows me to post this over 5 years since then.)

So, with genuine affection, I an now sending my belated condolences to her entire family! I had the great pleasure of working with Dolores from 1989 to 1993... we worked together at Joseph Salon Shoes on Michigan Ave. (And then in Water Tower Place, after the Company moved our location.) I can't believe that was 29 years ago, as of January 2022!

Dolores was an absolutely wonderful presence behind the Counter , selling beautiful handbags and costume jewelry to our clientele. I remember Dolores being funny, smart, genuine, down to earth,... always with a laugh and a smile, and always with style!!!

Dolores and I are 34 year apart in age (she's 4 years older than my parents)... but we were such great chums and buddies! Dolores remains one of my all-time favorite and memorable colleagues!!!

I know Dolores loved her family, as she often talked about her kids Bonnie and Lee, as well as her grandchildren. I remember Dolores taking the train every day from South Holland to Downtown Chicago/ Michigan Ave. (before she moved to Tinley Park. )
The years I worked with Dolores were such great memories for me! Dolores, along with our other dear colleague, Bob Lang... they were truly my 'work' family!

I've often thought of you over the years Dolores, and I'm so glad I can add a little note, sharing my sincere fondness and remembrances!

Love,
Matt

P.S. I learned something new today... I can't believe that I never knew Dolores also went by "Dolly"... I love it! : )
I love it! : )

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Delores at Together We Cope. I stood across the table from her. She priced clothing and I hung them on hangers. She was always so sweet an kind. We shared many stories and exchanged looking at pictures of our grandchildren. She was so proud of Charlie and was looking forward to the new baby to come. She left us so suddenly - but how wonderful that she led such a full life to the very end. She will be missed by all of us. May she rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus.

My deepest sympathy to Bonnie and Lee and the entire family. Even though she was my cousin, we kids always called her "Aunt" Dolly. She always enjoyed a good laugh and was up to some kind of mischief. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time.
