Dear Marianne, my thoughts & prayers are with you on the passing of your beloved dad. As you know, he was a super hero to all of his family, & most definitely to me!!! He was my sponsor for my confirmation, & I loved him so much. I'm sorry I can't be there for you dear cousin but I have pneumonia. I am thinking of you each day as the services are being held & today is my mum's birthday as well. All my love, Maureen

I met Harry in 2011 at the Park District where I worked lakefront security. I rode in the car with Harry during the tour and I enjoyed that eight hours with a CPD veteran while we exchanged police stories........ What a nice guy.....RIP you will be missed.

I want to express my deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of Harry McKenna. I met Harry in the mid 70's when we both worked the Task Force. I can truthfully say that if you had a problem with Harry, it was your problem, not his. Harry was a great Police Officer but more importantly a great man. May the Lord bless his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed. Harry may you rest in peace Amen.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Harry will be missed. It was great knowing and working with him in the gambling unit where we shared good times and laughs not only at work but also at golf. We love you!

Harry, I will never forget the good times working and golfing with you all those years, and the 19th holes where you held court, I could have sold seats, and most of all thank you , you were one heck of a friend. As you used to say, everybody has to go down the road, so save me a spot in your 4-some up there, I'd love to do it all over again'

Harry......Just opened up Phil Haskett's Obit Blog and saw the notice for your passing and I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. When I Met you in Special Operations in 1975 all the gang there called you "Dirty Harry", a tribute to Clint Eastwood I might add. Your laugh and smile were infectious to all who worked with you and you could have been the poster boy for a training officer as you knew all the right stuff to accomplish our missions and then close out the watch with a cold beer. You will be missed my friend by family and those of us that were so privileged to know you and call you friend. Now that your watch is over please know that if I am lucky enough to get to heaven, I'll be looking for you and God willing I'll bring you a cold beer when my watch is over. God Bless You my friend you will never be forgotten!
