I'm so sorry with the hear of LaVernes passing, it broke my heart. She was a wonderful kind person and a memory of meeting and getting to know her that I will cherish. I was in Wisconsin at a wedding shower and unable to attend. I'm so sorry.

Your smile, sense of humor and good will is what I always took away from you after our family gatherings. Even when seeing you only sparingly as we all got older, your warmth as a good person would always come through. Mom V. always loved talking with you and catching up on life.

LaVerne Your creativity and artistic ability was something fully unappreciated- you should have been given more credit. But you didn’t do it for that. I have some pieces you made for me, thank you. Thank you for letting me be an uncle to wonderful women-they are you and more. They now navigate the course of being parentless, guiding now from within; finding trustworthy people to move forward with.
Mom was funny as hell; we got her goofy sense of humor as well. The strong Swedish in mom and us is passed forward, the same strength that drew our grandmother as a young woman to cross over an ocean - for a chance to do better. This is now revealed in our children in their commitment to others. They too love hard and strong with strength, patience and tolerance. A final task of life is to transcend life itself and in death to give back to the next generation.
Pinky- The world is a better place because of you. Love you always, Johnnie

Johnnie, Kim,Sandy and All...

My heart just broken when I read Kims post. It was just a few months ago when I got a call from La Verne and when she found out it was me we both laughed till we cried because she though she was calling here friend in Chicago named Nancy.

God made that call for both of us. Divine intervention! Talking about all the great times and sad too, but it was with such joy that we connected!

I am going to have our Priest say a Mass in Her name.

My God Bless You ALL during this difficult time and my He Hold You ALL Close.
